Privacy Policy

This policy explains how Notulen.org (“we”, “us”) handles information when you use notulen.org.

1. Meeting content you enter

Text, files and recordings that you enter into the tool are not sent to our servers. Word documents are created in your browser. We have no user accounts and we do not store meeting content.

2. AI features (Google Gemini)

If you choose “Draft the minutes with AI”, your browser sends the content you selected directly to Google's Gemini API using the API key you enter. That processing is governed by Google's terms and privacy policy and by your own API account. We cannot see, store or control that data. Do not submit information that third-party services are not permitted to process.

3. Information stored in your browser

The tool may store in your browser's local storage: your model choice, letterhead details and profiles (including a logo), names of officers you have entered, and similar preferences. Your API key is stored only if you tick “Remember the key”. This data stays on your device and you can remove it by clearing your browser's site data.

4. Cookies and advertising

This site may show ads served by Google AdSense. Google and its partners may use cookies or similar identifiers to serve and measure ads, including personalised ads where permitted by law and by your choices. You can manage ad personalisation at Google Ads Settings and learn how Google uses data from partner sites at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites. For visitors in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland, we will show a consent message before advertising cookies are used, as required.

5. Third-party links

We link to third-party services such as Google AI Studio and Ko-fi (for voluntary support). They have their own privacy policies.

6. Technical data

Our hosting provider may log standard technical data such as IP address, browser type and pages requested for security and operations.

7. Your rights

Because we do not store your meeting content, there is no such content for us to access, correct or delete. Depending on where you live (for example under UK GDPR, EU GDPR or California law), you may have rights over personal data that we hold, such as server logs. 8. Children

The site is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect their data.

9. Changes

We may update this policy. The date at the top shows when it last changed.
